Hello all,

I’ve got to say that I’ve been unbeleavibaly lucky with weather this year. We have had perfect weather since Colorado. I hope I didn’t just jinx it! We left you last at Stengl Marine way up der near da U.P. ya. In Minocqua, WI.
We again had some great Weather. Bill has done well this year and his numbers are even a little better than last year. He has a positive attitude and it flows right into his sales. He only booked one day this year trying to be safe with the economy. But he ended up with more interest in the clinic then he could handle. So we filled the overflow day as well. We had the Briscoe family from Wisconsin show up. We couldn’t figure out how far back we were related but there’s got to be a connection somewhere down the line.

We packed up on the 8th of July for an easy 2 hour drive to Spread Eagle Marine. Gary Manigal once again helped me out big time as he booked a spot for me at the nearest RV dealer to get my refridgerator fixed. It had gone out on the way to Nisswa. So we had everything we could salvage packed in coolers and buying ice everyday.

So on Wednesday we drove the bus there and left it. Gary hooked us up with a place to stay while we did the clinics. They asked me to Ride in there Ski Show, which has become kind of a tradition over the years. So I did and actually surprised myself on how well I rode. We did an autograph signing after that to try to fill a few empty spots for the clinic. The next 2 days we had perfect weather for the clinics. And even filled some spots on the overflow day on Sat. the 11th.  We have made so many great friends there that I rarely see Chad the whole time were there. He has friends that he stay’s with while were there and gets to be a water rat with them.

We have dinner plans everynight as well as different families want us to come hang out for a night. It really is one of my favorite stops of the tour. We headed over to pick up the Bus on Sat. afternoon. When we arrived they weren’t quite done with the refridgerator and I had to wait about  2 hours for them to finish up. Once they did, I tried to pull the living room slide out back in, and it was broken again. I had just got it fixed in Greenville,IL. A couple weeks earlier. Since they were closed the next day they said they could work on it Monday. The problem was I needed to be in Lauderdale Lakes for Monday. So we manually cranked it in and Chad lost his bed again.

We drove to Lauderdale Lakes Marina in Elkhorn, WI. on Sunday and set up for a 2 week stay. Today is the 21st of July and I‘m half way through my stay at Lauderdale. So far we have had 6 full days booked solid. It really is amazing how big the interest is here for lessons. I have another booked week this week and by the end of it will have coached 110 students out of one dealer!

On Saturday one of our students who booked 3 days for himself and his family. Jeff, Sarah and Jake Haley, had 2 extra tickets to Def Leopard with Poison, and Cheap Trick. We got picked up by Limo and had amazing seats. Every Rose Has it’s Thorn baby.
