Gainers

Your question about your gainers was forwarded to me from Waterski Mag. There are a couple of things that cause a gainer to slip out.
1. make sure you have 2 hands on the handle until the tips of your ski's are at the top of the ramp. The second you let go with your left hand the gainer starts, if your letting go early, your starting early and slipping out.
2. Start the gainer with your hips not your head. Your eyes should remain on the horizon beyond the jump. Start your rotation by thrusting your hips into the handle. Your left hand should let go when your belly button hits your left forearm.
3. dropping your right shoulder of the top of the ramp will also make you slip out. this normally happens when you let go of the left hand to early. Make sure your shoulders stay square to the horizon all the way through the jump.

I hope this helps you,
